Students & Parents Testimonials
Sean Collier
I have been a student of Mr. Tabet's since I was nine years old and I have
enjoyed my training in the martial arts every since that time. Mr. Tabet, over
the years, has always been very supportive and informative. I came into martial
arts with no significant prior training in martial arts and I have seen a lot of
changes over time. However, Mr. Tabet has always been there for any student and
has always shown students how to strive for the best in Taekwondo, as well as in
life. For example, when I first began martial arts, the black belts that were in
the class at that time were fierce. Their techniques were excellent, they were
great role models both in and out of class. They represented themselves well at
all times and I know this is the exact type of training that I have received. I
was always taught to strive for personal victory and because of that, I am now a
3rd degree black belt working on testing for my 4th degree. I am only 24 years
old and I have taken the philosophies of my mother and Mr. Tabet and tried to
apply them to every aspect of my life. Now, I am a firefighter for Clayton
County Fire Department, a senior in college at Clayton State University, and on
my way to Paramedic school in July 08. I could not have accomplished any of this
without the support of those who guided me throughout my teenage years. Mr
Tabet's program offers more discipline than other "full-time" schools and the
students techniques that of many other schools. Over the years, I have watched
the class grow and shrink at times but the messages have always been
positive...Love your parents, do well in school, strive for the best, and never
quit. True mottos, I think every young person should learn to achieve the
highest goals in life! Thank you Mr. Tabet
My personal testimony. My son has been a member of ATA for approximately
11 years. He is a 3rd Degree Black Belt. I believe this class really helped to
shape his life. He has turned out to be a fine young man and preparing for
college. My own testimony declares the class to have helped me physically and
mentally. Achieving my 3rd Degree Black Belt indicated to me that hard work and
perserverance will get you what you deserve.
Base the web site on the young and energetic. However, let the older people see
the benefits that such a program can bring to their lives. Many older people
believe this is too much for them to accomplish which is not true.
Mr. Tabet began teaching my son when he was eight years old. During that time I
got to know Mr. Tabet on a personal and professional level.
Throughout my son's classes Mr. Tabet was always a positive role model. He was
"firm but fair", he taught the students respect by respecting them and
instituted discipline at all times. Mr. Tabet , to me, had a unique trait, he
had the ability to teach and respect the children without ever taking anything
way from the parents. He always made the children thank the parents and salute
them at the beginning and end of class. My son is now a second degree black belt
and a sophomore at a Florida University majoring in pharmacy. I thank Mr. Tabet
for all his assistance and support. He has had his share of disappointments,
however he has shown the strength and courage to overcome and exceed the
expectations.
My wife enrolled my son in Mr. Tabet's class when he was around 6 years old.
One day I had to take him to class and somehow Mr. Tabet convinced me to join.
He said that it would be a good experience for me and my son. He was totally
correct. I now have a good bonding experience with my son since we practice
together.
We are now both purple belts and he is seven years old. His memory and focus are
wonderful. He often corrects me when necessary (HA HA). I have to thank Mr.
Tabet for his way of teaching. His class has a balance of fun and discipline for
the children and adults. As I child I often imagined of being a martial artist
and Mr. Tabet is allowing my son and me to be that.
My name is Ms. Dobbins. Damion my son has been a student in Mr. Tabet's
Taekwondo class for over eight years. He started out shy, lacked confidence in
himself, and was picked on a lot by classmates in school. Since joining Mr.
Tabet's class he has become a very confident, and respectful third degree black
belt, and he is doing well in school. I am very thankful for my son to have
someone like Mr. Tabet as a mentor.
I really enjoy Mr. Tabet's Taekwondo classes. It offers many things from
discipline, confidence, as well as fun class with building relationships and
strong ATA family ties. You can get what you put into it including knowledge of
good techniques as well as becoming a better person through your personal
victory attitude. Mr. Tabet will take personal time to make sure each student
learn the material, also the history of the martial arts. You will do the forms
and will know why your are doing them. I am looking forward to becoming a great
and awesome black belt.
Hello Mr. Taber, I would like to give my testimony:
Mr. Tabet's guidance, caring for the students and attention to detail in the
stances make a difference.
